Etawah is a wonderful city on the banks of Holy River 'Yamuna' in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Etawah District.
The city was an important center for the Revolt of 1857.(Allan Octavian Hume, the founder of Indian National Congress was district collector then).
Etawah has a lot of heritage sites to visit like:
1. Kali Vahan Temple
2. Tixi Temple
3. Etawah Fort (Kings old fort is now re-innovated)
4. Template at River Yamuna Banks.
5. Etawah Railway Station
6. Etawah Community Center
7. Etawah Exibition (In the month of December every year)
Etawah is also the place of sangam or confluence between Yamuna and Chambal. Etawah has India's only Sangam of 5 Rivers called "Pachnada". It is also the site of the remains of the Great Hedge of India.
